Christmas Football Squares for the NFL Tripleheader

Put all three Christmas Day games on one board, send the family a single link, and let the live board follow every quarter from the 1 p.m. Packers-Bears kickoff to the last snap in Seattle.

How It Works

1

Build one board for Christmas Day

Choose the NFL, pick Packers at Bears, then tap Add another game for Bills-Broncos and Rams-Seahawks, and set the prizes, which you can adjust game by game afterwards.

2

Share the link before the 25th

Send it to the family group chat while everyone's still travelling, and each person claims squares from their own phone, wherever they'll be watching on Christmas.

3

Draw the numbers and enjoy the day

When the squares are claimed, draw one set of digits for all three games or a new set for each, and the board tracks every quarter and marks the winners from there.

Why Families Run Christmas Football on One Live Board

Built on three core principles: Easy, Fun, and Fast. New to running a board? Our complete guide to hosting a football squares pool walks through every decision before the first square is claimed.

Easy
Fun
Fast

The whole tripleheader on one board

Put Packers-Bears, Bills-Broncos and Rams-Seahawks on a single board, so everyone claims squares once and has something riding on every game from the afternoon kickoff to the late one.

Every quarter scored without you

We follow the live score of all three games and mark the winning square at the end of each quarter, so the host gets to open presents and eat dinner instead of refreshing a scoreboard.

The board shows who's winning right now

While a quarter is still being played, the grid highlights the square that takes it if the score holds, so the whole room can watch it change hands with every field goal.

Family in other houses can play too

Christmas scatters people across living rooms and time zones, and everyone opens the same link on their own phone, with nothing to install and no account needed to follow along.

Weight the prizes toward the night game

Give every game the same quarter prizes, or make the Rams-Seahawks finale count for more, and add the reverse score rule if you want more names on the winners list by the end of the night.

A board size for any family

The classic 100-square board suits a big gathering, and 25, 10 or 4 squares work better when it's just a few of you and everyone wants a bigger share of the grid.

Everyone picks their own squares

Players tap the squares they want and add their name, and you can still fill in squares yourself for the grandparents who'd rather call out a spot than use the link.

How Do Christmas Football Squares Work?

Christmas football squares are a regular squares board spread across the NFL's Christmas Day games. Everyone claims squares on one grid, the host decides whether the digits stay put for the whole day or get drawn again before each game, and every quarter of every game produces a winner, so a three-game Christmas board has twelve winning quarters instead of the usual four.

The 2026 Christmas Day games

Christmas falls on Friday, December 25, 2026, and the NFL plays three games back to back, two of them streaming on Netflix.

GameKickoffWhere to watch
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears1:00 p.m. ETNetflix
Buffalo Bills at Denver Broncos4:30 p.m. ETNetflix
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks8:15 p.m. ETFOX

Not everyone in the family will have Netflix, and that's fine: the board follows the score of every game no matter where it's streaming, so the relatives without it can still see exactly which square is winning.

Adding the Christmas Eve game

Texans at Eagles kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET on Thursday, December 24 on Prime Video, and you can add it to the same board for a four-game, sixteen-quarter run from Christmas Eve to Christmas night. The catch is timing: the squares have to be claimed before the first game on the board starts, so including Christmas Eve moves everyone's deadline up a day. If half the family is still on the road on the 24th, keep the board to the three Christmas Day games.

Rather print a sheet?

Plenty of families still tape a grid to the fridge, and our football squares template prints one for any game. The trouble on Christmas is that a paper sheet only works for the people standing next to it and somebody has to score twelve quarters by hand, which is exactly the job an online board takes off your plate.

Overtime, ties and repeat winners cause most of the arguments, so settle them before kickoff with our football squares rules guide. Hosting the other big football holiday too? Our Thanksgiving football squares board works the same way, and NFL squares covers every other week of the season.

Simple, Transparent Pricing

A board with all three Christmas games on it runs on the One Month Pass or the One Year Pass, because the One Game Pass covers a board with a single game. The month pass covers every board you host for 30 days from the day you buy it, so a pass bought for Christmas carries you through the last weeks of the regular season and into the playoffs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you play Christmas football squares?

Everyone claims squares on a 10x10 grid, and once the board is full the digits zero through nine are drawn at random along the top and down the side, once for the day or again before each game. At the end of every quarter, take the last digit of each team's score, find where the two digits meet, and that square wins. When you run Christmas football squares on Play Squares, the board follows all three games and marks each winner for you. Our walkthrough of how to play football squares has a full worked example for anyone who has never played.

How many NFL games are on Christmas Day 2026?

Three: Packers at Bears at 1 p.m. ET and Bills at Broncos at 4:30 p.m. ET, both on Netflix, then Rams at Seahawks at 8:15 p.m. ET on FOX. Texans at Eagles plays the night before, on Christmas Eve, and can be added to the same board if you want a fourth game.

Should we keep the same numbers for all three games?

Either works, and the host picks before sending the link. One set of digits for the whole day is easier to follow, since your square keeps the same numbers from Chicago to Denver to Seattle. A fresh draw for each game gives everyone a new shot, so a cold square in the early game doesn't stay cold all night. Squares are claimed only once either way.

How many winners does a Christmas football squares board have?

Three games with a winner at the end of every quarter gives you twelve winning quarters on Christmas Day, or sixteen if you add the Christmas Eve game. Switch on the reverse score rule and each quarter can also pay the square with the digits flipped, which spreads the wins across more of the family.

Can family members in other cities join the board?

Yes. Anyone with the link can claim squares and watch the board from their own phone, wherever they're spending Christmas. Because the grid shows which square is on track to win while each quarter is still going, relatives across the country can follow along without anyone texting them the score.

What happens if a Christmas game goes to overtime?

The last prize for that game follows whatever rule you agreed on before kickoff. Most families count overtime points in the final score, some use the score at the end of regulation, and both are fine as long as everyone knows which one in advance. Our football squares rules go through overtime and ties in detail.
